Ten years ago, two combat veterans and an artist asked a tough question, “What does it take to come home from war?” We knew we couldn’t answer that question. But maybe we could explore the question through art. That exploration started as a conversation, emerged as a model of a dragon and a Phoenix, then slowly grew into 18-foot tall sculptures.
